The placemats
How many placemats come in a set?
Four, all printed with the same design, so a table for four is covered in one order.
How big is each placemat?
About 18 x 13 in (46 x 33 cm), the standard size that sits comfortably under a dinner plate with room for cutlery and a glass.
What are they made of?
A woven cotton-polyester blend with a soft canvas feel. The design is printed on the top side and every edge is hemmed.
Who designs the patterns?
Every pattern is original artwork made for Hyssopdell. You won't find these designs anywhere else.
Can I put a hot dish straight on them?
Placemats are not heat-proof, so please rest hot pans, casseroles and teapots on a trivet. Warm plates are perfectly fine.
Will they look exactly like the photos?
We photograph every set in daylight, but screens vary, so the printed colour may look a little lighter or deeper in person.
Washing and care
Can they go in the washing machine?
Yes. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours and a mild detergent. Skip the bleach.
How should I dry them?
Tumble dry on low or hang them on a line. Take them out while barely damp and smooth them flat to keep the edges straight.
Do they need ironing?
Only if you like a crisp finish. Use a warm iron on the reverse side.
Orders and delivery
How much is shipping?
A flat $7.99 on orders under $100, and free on orders of $100 or more.
When will my order arrive?
We process orders in 1-3 business days. Delivery then usually takes 5-9 business days within the US and 10-20 business days to other countries.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes, we ship worldwide with tracking. Any import duties or taxes charged by the destination country are paid by the recipient.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email info@hyssopdell.com as quickly as possible. If the parcel hasn't left us yet, we'll gladly make the change or cancel it.
Is my payment safe?
Yes. Checkout runs on Shopify's encrypted platform and we never see your full card number.
Returns
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to return a set for any reason. Email us first and we'll send the details. Returns go to our registered company address.
What if a mat arrives damaged?
Send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace the set or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.
