Seasons at the Table · Red cardinals on snowy birch branches, winter blue
Cardinals on a snowy birch morning
A red cardinal against fresh snow is one of winter's most cheerful sights, and many of us keep a feeder just to see one. This design brings that bright flash of colour to the table. It carries you from December all the way to the first thaw.
On the mat
Red cardinals perch on white birch branches dusted with snow, surrounded by small winter berries. Soft watercolour in cardinal red, dove grey and white rests on a pale winter-blue ground.
Set it with: White plates, a pot of hot cocoa and a few pine cones in a bowl.
